White Gold Grey and Black Home Office Furniture

We're adding about 700 sqft onto our house. That's a playroom, a small living area added to our great room, a half bath and an office for me. That's right, this lady is no longer sharing an office with her hubby. I can't tell you how excited I am about being able to design my own office!

I knew immediately, I wanted white with some gold and marble textures, black accents and a whole lot of storage space. My office needs to serve as a place I can work from home, make YouTube videos, write blog posts and do crafts while being a nice escape for me to unwind. It's not easy to make a productive and creative space.

Here's what I have so far:

Bookcase: This white and gold beauty is Curry and Company's Delano Etagere. I'm going to get two to flank my desk but the space is too narrow for a shelf of this size so I might need to DIY it.

Desk Chair: Most desk chairs are ugly. This plush grey number is from Corrigan Studios and would look perfect, though I might need to paint the legs.

Wall Art: Normally, wall art is not considered furnishings but in this case, a 40X60 piece of depth adding palette unifying joy, it is. It's called Autumn in Aspen and I expect it will keep me calm in the wee hours when I'm stressing over a deadline.

Carpet and Wall Colors: Again, probably not typically included in a furniture roundup, these are the canvas in which my furniture will sit and I wanted to make sure they would coordinate by seeing it on my design board. This is canvas carpet and Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter.

Desk: Marble and gold in one piece, it is just swoon worthy. It's the Dahlia Desk from CB2. I am fluctuating between buying a desk like this, except it has no storage, or DIYing a desk with a base in white with drawers and a marble top.

Lamp: Oh this black, gold and white lamp feels to me like the wall art. It just ties everything together in one sleek little package. It's the Grasshopper Table Lamp from Modernist Lighting. It's pretty steep in price so I might get the Target Crosby Desk Lamp instead.

Bookcases: One cannot find a better deal on modern storage than Ikea. This is a Billy Bookcase with Oxberg doors. I am also considering the Hemnes Secretary with bookcases with glass and paneled doors. Either option will require some hacking in the form of changing the footings and possibly lining the backing.

What does your dream office look like?
